Office Install Error - Microsoft Community - Perform the installation attempt

Mar 31,  · Rolling back package indicates that the Office installation has failed and Office is trying to "roll back" the installation. You should be able to identify the failure immediately at that point. As soon as you find value 3 or Rolling back package in the log, you should be able to identify which component is failing, and then from there look for the particular MSI log . May 10,  · So I clean installed Windows 10 Build Now, when I try to install Microsoft Office , half way through the install process the setups starts rolling back and in the end I get the following error: Code: Microsoft Office Professional Plus @CrashFF We've been using from the Microsoft Volume Licenseing Center. Thanks though. I think I've got it working finally, actually. I had already removed the stupid built in Office apps from the domain account on the PC, but they where still installed under the local user account. Once I uninstalled that copy of the apps, Office installed.

Office Professional Plus Error during installation - Microsoft Community

Have 6 systems that have failed to install not just Office , but any other version I've tried as far back as Some systems were updated to the update and some were cleaned installed, but no matter what so long as a system is running Windows 10 I cannot get any version of Office to install. Here is the error I receive on all the systems at the exact same point during the installation Was this reply helpful?

Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your reply. Yes I did try this solution but it does not solve the issue on any of the systems. I will give this a try and report back. Unfortunately the systems that aren't clean installed I've already run disk cleaner on to remove previous installations and clear up space so rolling back is not an option.

I've also accidentally formatted my Windows install USB that had on it so now I'm stuck with the installer from the media creation tool. Very annoying to have such a major issue with one of Microsoft's largest software suites and their own operating system, this seems really sloppy. Really hope they can address this soon as clean installations of Windows and Office is something I have to almost daily for customers. Okay so unfortunately none of those solutions have worked for me, same error at the same point.

This appears to be for Office though so I'm sure how I could make it work for me as Standard is what I need to get working.

However if i'm missing something in that article that would be a possible solution for me let me know and I'll go back over it again. I found a thread on 10 forums with someone else having the exact same issue as me and he logged it if that could help. Here's what he got -. Okay so I've finally got it figured out.

I don't have any clue as to how to actually fix the issue but I've gotten three of the systems working now following these steps and I'll handle the others tomorrow. Here's what I had to do -. In reply to Ethan B. Hey, Thanks for your reply. In reply to MichaelMarsden1's post on May 9, Michael, Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry to see that it didn't work, maybe you should try this next set of instructions. Try reinstalling it, it may help to reboot first. Another thing that should be considered unfortunately is that you might want to endeavor on rolling back to from and see if the feature update matures.

Michael, That's unfortunate. Not sure how much farther it would go, though. Let me know on the log file, or if the Easy Fix did it. Good luck.
